Subscriptions

There will be a change to the payment of subscriptions for 2011, more details later and hope that this helps members to plan for the future. This is in direct response to the feedback from the questionnaire. 

Website Development

From comments in the questionnaire, members requested more golf features on the website. We are working with Brian Edwards to offer the best golf information we can. If you visit the Pro Shop from the main menu on this site of click here http://www.brianedwardspgapro.co.uk/pro  you will see:-

all the latest golf equipment, tips on technique, new golf balls etc. In addition you can sign up to receive the newsletter which will include all of the monthly results and any general news and updates.

Club Improvement Programme

As part of the on-going progamme. The Club entrance from the main road will undergo work to improve its appearance and safety. As a first stage the trees will be pruned to allow more light into the area. That will take place this week- June 5th. Please take care approaching the Club.

The drive will then be tarmaced on July 21st. Please note that the drive will be closed for 6 approx hours, more details about exact timings later.

Next Competition on Saturday 29 May is the Mens Four Ball Better Ball Open.

 Update 

Members are absolutely critical to the health of the Club and are our top priority. The questionnaire was undertaken to understand the views and needs of the members a little better. The results offered really interesting ideas for the future. The Club has attempted to incorporate these new ideas into the 5 year action plan to take the Club forward. 

You will have seen the green staff working on bunkers and tees as part of the on going programme. Investing in the new rough cutter has been a big bonus to the course. The Clubhouse has undergone further updates as part of the 5 year plan. Painting and new windows have now been completed. A number of other improvements are planned and hope to be completed shortly.

There will be a number of summer social events, which are new to the Club. We aim to offer new ideas to increase the different types of non golfing activities. New ideas are welcomed and the Club is keen to listen to the members. We are hosting more parties at the Club. Our catering team are happy to accomodate a range of options from an informal buffet to a more formal dinner. Recent parties have been a great success, as the Club has a pleasant atmosphere, easy access and parking. It is a cost effective and enjoyable facility so do make the most of it.

We are delighted to welcome new members, that is such good news and brings new ideas into the Club. If you introduce a new member, remember to claim your reward
